Arrests/summonses

July 23 at 10:10 a.m.: Elizabeth Barnett, 20, of Rumford was summoned by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on a charge of violating conditions of release. Barnett is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 8.

Assault

July 20 at 10:28 p.m.: Cumberland Street resident reported an assault. Charges are pending.

July 22 at 4:13 p.m.: Waldo Street resident reported an assault. Charges are possible pending statements.

July 22 at 10:49 p.m.: Cumberland Street resident reported an assault. Charges are pending review by district attorney.

Burglary

July 19 at 11:18 a.m.: Maine Avenue resident reported theft of a $650 in TV equipment along with two pet rats. Case under investigation.

Criminal mischief

July 23 at 10:45 a.m.: Rumford Avenue church reporting approximately $400 damage to a window. Case under investigation.

Theft

July 19 at 9:26 p.m.: Byron Street resident reported theft of a bicycle, which was recovered. Case under investigation.

July 20 at 1:10 p.m.: Strafford Avenue resident reported $29 theft of medication. Case under investigation.

July 21 at 11:38 a.m.: Waldo Street resident reported theft of an $8 license plate. Case under investigation.

July 23 at 10:27 a.m.: Rumford Public Library reported theft of two flower pots valued at $50. Case under investigation.

July 23 at 4:39 p.m.: Hancock Street resident reported theft of a handbag by three subjects while walking. Bag with papers and checkbook was valued at $30. Case under investigation.

Wanted

Keith Provencher, 27, of Rumford/Mexico is wanted on a warrant for a sex offender violation and violation of bail. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to notify the Rumford Police Department at (207) 364-4551 or e-mail [email protected]
