I have had a casual acquaintance with Jim Bennett since the late 1970s, and I was pleased when his rising career in municipal administration brought him back to Lewiston. His obvious skills and knowledge have brought praise and recognition to the city, along with an occasional controversy with the changing personalities in Lewiston city government.

To all those residents who do not support his dismissal, I hope that the results of the upcoming election will provide an opportunity to return Bennett as the city administrator.
