WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library will be the site of a summer celebration on Friday, July 10, according to John Henkel, board of trustees chairman.
The event, to be held from 4 to 6 p. m., will celebrate the completion of the library’s renovation, expansion and handicapped accessibility projects. In addition, all donors to the successful fund drive will be honored and thanked.
Four families will be recognized for special gifts with the unveiling of plaques in four areas: Richard and Gwyn Sewall, for a gift on behalf of their children for the young adult area; Wynn and Sandy Muller for the gift of shelving for the genealogy room in honor of Wynn’s mother; Joe Varuolo for his gift to youth programs in memory of his wife, Jeanine; and the Pohly family for the new lobby area.
Tyngtown and Wiltona Clubs are assisting with refreshments. The public is invited for tours and to participate in brief ceremonies.
