LIVERMORE BIRTHDAY PARTY

LIVERMORE — The annual Livermore Birthday Party will be celebrated Thursday, July 30.

Festivities will begin with birthday cake and punch served at the North Livermore Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. Storytelling about local history will once again provide the inside program from 7 to 8 p.m., with focus on Billie Gammon, Livermore’s notable storyteller, who died in January.

Outside events will continue at 8:30 with kayaks and canoes meeting at the Long Pond boat ramp, providing a parade in the area of the former Lakeshore Motel on Route 4. At 9 p.m. there will be a power boat parade to begin near the motel.

Residents around Long Pond are once again encouraged to decorate their camps and home near Long Pond. A trophy will be awarded to the “best decorated” home or camp.
