- The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland, recently held its first annual Adopt-A-Highway event on Tripp Lake Road in Poland. They filled 12 large trash bags over 1.2 miles. The Tri-Town Optimist Club is affiliated with Optimist International, one of the world’s largest and most active service club organizations. The club works on projects to benefit area youth and the community. For information about meeting times and membership, call Dave Griffiths at 345-9835.
