RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald R. “Brownie” Brown of Rumford was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant.

 The organist was Mark Belanger. Altar assistant was George Gionet. Readings were given by Arthur Meader. Eulogy was given by Dane Curato. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Ave Maria,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “How Great Thou Art.”

 
Pallbearers were from the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion: Harry Bean, Tom Buotte, Kirk Thurston, Marvin Bickford, Roger Miller and Joe Parisi.

Committal services with full military honors were conducted by Rev. Jacques, the Maine Military Funeral Honors program from Augusta, and assisted by the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion, with their chaplain, Dane Curato.

A reception followed at the Parish Hall at St. Athanasius-St. John Church.
