Jean G. Moody

1924 – 2009

AUBURN — Jean G. Moody, 85, of 10 Oak Park, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Odd Fellows & Rebekahs Home in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on March 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Arthur and May Rielly Goshen. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School.

On July 7, 1944, she married Herbert L. Moody, who passed away in 1984. After being a homemaker for many years she was employed at the Paine Incense Company in Lewiston and Auburn. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, where she especially loved singing in the choir for many years. She enjoyed traveling — and she was active in the Queens Guild Society and the Robin Dow Club of Auburn.

Survivors include one daughter Pamela Foulke of Wales; four sons, Robert and wife, Kathy, of Leeds, Daniel and wife, Patricia, of Palmer, Ala., Gary and wife, Karen, of Greene, and Michael and wife, Cathy, of Auburn; one sister, Katherine Dow of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert, her parents and three sisters, Blanche Moke, Arlene Taylor and Helen Wilcox.

The family sincerely thanks the staff and members of the Odd Fellows Home & Rebekahs for the care, comfort and friendship extended to their mother.
