LISBON — Police are seeking help from the public in connection with an armed robbery at the Big Apple in Lisbon Falls early Saturday morning.

Detective Bernard McAllister said the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when a lone man entered the convenience store, displayed a knife to the clerk and demanded money.

The clerk, who was alone in the store, complied and handed over a small amount of cash, McAllister said.

The robber, wearing dark clothing, a ski mask and red a bandanna covering his face, was described as being between 5 feet, 6 inches and 6 feet tall, and of medium build. The culprit was last seen fleeing on foot. Police did not know whether a vehicle was involved, McAllister said.

Anyone who may have been in or around the Big Apple at 634 Lisbon St. in Lisbon Falls around 3 a.m. Saturday and saw anyone matching the above description or any suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact Lisbon Police Department at 353-2500.
