Harold E. Williams
1934 – 2009
FARMINGTON – Harold Everett Williams, 75, of Livermore, died early Saturday evening at the Sandy River Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Farmington after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born in West Freeman, July 5, 1934, a son of Coney and Elnora (Neil) Williams and attended schools in Wilton. Mr. Williams worked on his family farm and also was employed at GH Bass Shoe Co., in Wilton. He retired in 1996 because of health problems and he sold his farm in 2001.
In 2008, he and his wife moved to Livermore to be closer to their family. He enjoyed going on rides to the ocean and to the mountains, watching television, and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deanne (Parker) Williams of Livermore; a son, Peter and his wife, Jacci, of Bangor; a daughter, Julie Welch and her husband, Dan, of Livermore; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Wiers and her husband, Raymond, of East Wilton and Laura Melcher and her husband, Paul, of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was prdeceased by a sister, Margaret Owens; and a son, Terry Williams.
