I feel compelled to write about the disgrace of the Prince Cemetery in Buckfield.

My husband and I were driving by the cemetery recently and two out-of-state persons were treading down the stone-high grass to find the names on the headstones.

If the town is supposed to take care of that cemetery, why isn’t it being taken care of? It is a disgrace to the town. Taxpayers certainly pay enough in taxes to maintain that cemetery.

I’m sure the families of those buried in the Prince Cemetery would be appalled at the lack of care, not just the few who care enough to write a letter.
