The Jay Historical Society will hold its annual open house at the Homes-Crafts Homestead on Jay Hill from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. From 9:30 a.m. to noon, the society will celebrate the last 75 years of country music with live music of local musicians who have played in past and present music groups. Anyone who has additional information or pictures of past or present groups is asked to call Dot White at 897-4876. There will be free house and fire museum tours, a garage sale, food sale, hot dogs and watermelon.
