One member of Congress described them as “un-American.” One claimed Tim McVeigh developed his notion to bomb buildings from thoughts similar to theirs. One likened them to the Ku Klux Klan. The people these congresspersons spoke of are our fellow citizens voicing their displeasure of too much government intervention into their lives.
I’m starting to get the feeling they have the government a bit afraid. It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “When the government fears the people, the people have liberty.”
