Doc’s Banjo Band is a musical group consisting of three Banjos and a Tuba withthe members also performing vocals. The band specializes in music from the era of the 1890’s to the 1930’s when the “Banjo was King” with its players performing the popular music of the day. The group presents lively toe-tapping, sing-a-long music and encourages audience participation to enhance the performance. Doc’s has been performing at fairs, festivals, private, and banquets since 1985 and has acquired a reputation from both its audiences and other similar performers for its musical excellence and appealing programs consisting of old favorites, classicals, novelty and comedy numbers, and vocal harmony tunes.
