Self-esteem class
FARMINGTON — Women, Work and Community will offer a free five-week self-esteem class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 20, 27, Sept. 3, 10 and 17 at the Farmington Center for Women, Work and Community, 108 Perham St.
The supportive class can help participants find the tools they need to create a positive self-image and begin a path to positive change in life. All services are free and confidential.

Vacation school
CARTHAGE — Vacation Bible School will be held at the Carthage Seventh Day Adventist Church from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 3 to 7, for ages 5 to 13. Helpers are welcome.
The theme is “Vacation Beach Bible School,” comparing Maine coast beaches with the beaches on the Sea of Galilee. Classes will walk in the footsteps of Jesus by the sea, hear Bible stories, make sand and shell crafts and build wooden boats. Recreation will include beach volleyball and sailing boats. Each day will end with a picnic lunch.

Annual meeting
LIVERMORE — The annual meeting of the Brettun’s Pond Association will be held at the Brettun’s Community Building on Thursday, Aug. 6. There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring their place setting and a main dish, salad or dessert. Beverages will be provided.
