RANGELEY — The Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum annual meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the museum building on Route 16. All are invited to the meeting and, afterward, to a picnic from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and open house from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The museum will elect officers for the coming year, discuss additions to the board of directors, review the summer’s events, discuss finances and plan for next year’s events and projects.

All are welcome also to the picnic and open house, especially museum members and supporters, Little Miss and Mister Wood Chip contestants and their families, and honorees in the Loggers Hall of Fame and their families. Hot dogs, hamburgers and potato salad will be served free to thank the community for its help in the past years. The museum and its exhibits will be open to the public.

Upcoming events sponsored by the museum include an Apple Festival, Oct. 3, Episcopal Church, Rangeley; auction, July 3, 2010; knit and crafts show and sale, July 17; 30th anniversary Logging Festival, July 23 and 24.
