Church picnic

PARIS — Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, invites all to worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 19. The annual church picnic will be held at the Musiks following the service.

The Healthy Living Group meets at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays and everyone is welcome. Call 743-6906 for more information. Bible study is held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

Salad stir-off

WATERFORD — The Waterford World’s
Fair potato salad stir-off will be held Sunday, July 19. People are invited to mix up a batch of their favorite
potato salad and enter.  Salads should be set on ice and in place in the dance
hall by 12:30 p.m. Judging will begin at 1. 

Winners will be
announced at the completion of judging.
Prizes are $25, $10, $5 and
ribbons.
Samples of salads may then be
offered to spectators.

Alzheimer walk

NORWAY — The Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center will be the site
of the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk starting at 8 a.m. Saturday,
Sept. 26. The walk takes a scenic three-mile route, starting at Norway
Rehabilitation and Living Center.  Participants who raise $50 or more
will receive a 2009 Memory Walk T-shirt. For more information on

Supper, drive

NORTH WATERFORD — A public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 21, at the North Waterford Congregational Church, Five
Kezars Road. The menu will include baked beans, American chop suey,
casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and strawberry
shortcake. The price for adults is $7, children under 12, $3.50.

A bottle drive is being held to raise funds for Pilgrim Lodge camp
scholarships. Bottles and cans may be dropped off at the Stoneham
church, North Waterford church or call the Rev. George Frobig at
693-6461 to arrange for pick-up.

Regular Sunday worship services are being held at 10 a.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church through July.

Doula explained

PARIS — Naomi Kilbreth will explain the use of a doula while giving birth in a talk from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Paris Public Library. Snacks and handouts will be available and children will be welcome. For more information or to sign up, call Kilbreth at 754-8875.
