AUBURN – The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. Following the meeting and a bag lunch, bingo will be played.

When the group met Aug. 12 under the direction of President Virginia Houston, 46 members were present. Welcomed back from their illnesses were Kaye Hewison and Russell Howe, along with the chaplain of the group, Pat Donohue, returning from vacation.

Trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin reported 47 members and friends thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Foster’s Lobster Bake in York on July 31. Sawin announced a foliage trip scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2. Participants will leave by bus on that day to Lincoln, N.H. where they will board the Hoboken Railway, with a turkey dinner to be served on the train. The trip is open to anyone; one does not have to be a member to participate. The $60 cost will cover all expenses. Those planning to attend are urged to make reservations as soon as possible by seeing Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or calling her at 998-4577.

“Happy Birthday” was sung for those observing birthdays in August, with Merry Strout being the only recipient.

Attendance prize winners were Virginia Trafford and Evelyn Sawin; pot of gold, Virginia Houston, Adele Delmonico and Hope Telow; mystery prize, Virginia Houston, Phillip Cyr and Madge Gardner.

After the meeting and a bag lunch, bingo was played.
