Harold L. Woodard
1916 – 2009

LEWISTON — Harold L. Woodard, 93, of Lewiston, passed away on Aug. 22, at d’Youville Pavilion. 

He was born March 19, 1916, in Somerville, Mass., the son of Lendall and Susan (Dawson) Woodard. He was a 1935 Lewiston High School graduate. Also, he was a World War II veteran, having served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

He married Radelle (Dearborn) on Dec. 5, 1937. Among his many interests, he especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening. He was past master mason of Ashlar Lodge of Auburn and also a member of American Legion of Richmond.

Hed retired from Central Maine Power in 1981.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Radelle; son, Lendall and wife, Sylvia, of Greene; daughters, Linda Woodard of Tampa, Fla., and Dr. Laurie Woodard and husband, Dr. Donald Smith, of Tampa; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
