The multiple Grammy Award-winning country-western swing band Asleep at the Wheel will perform at Saddleback on Thursday, Sept. 3. Asleep at the Wheel has won nine Grammys, released more than 20 albums and has charted 20-plus singles on the country charts. Popular singles include "The Letter That Johnny Walker Read," "House of Blue Lights" and "Roly Poly" with the Dixie Chicks. The performance will be this summer’s final country music concert at Saddleback. The show will begin at 8 p.m. in the base lodge in an intimate setting with seating for 200 people. Tickets are $50. Preconcert dinner reservations are available from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will feature Saddleback’s country-style barbecue with a variety of dining options available from $3.95 to $23.95. Concert tickets are sold online at www.saddlebackmaine.com, at the new Guest Service Center on Main Street in Rangeley and at the base lodge.
