The Auburn Baha’i community organized its semi-annual clean-up at the Lake Auburn scenic view on Route 4 with more than a dozen volunteers participating. The Baha’i faith emphasizes community service as a major goal of its members. Among the volunteers were the Muralidhran family of Botswana, Africa, who were visiting relatives in Maine. "The earth is one country and mankind its citizens, so we feel we are just helping clean a section of our own home," said Valentina Muralidhran, 18.
