The third and final event of this year’s Greater L-A Triple Crown 5K Series will be held Sunday, Aug. 30, starting at 9 a.m. at the Rollodrome, 12 Riverside Drive, in New Auburn. Race day registration will be held from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m.; a Kids’ Fun Run, organized by Auburn firefighters, will be held at 8:15 a.m.

The race will begin at the Rollodrome, crossing over the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge into Lewiston, turning left on Oxford Street and turning into Simard-Payne Memorial Park, looping through the park before crossing the railroad trestle back to Auburn, turning right onto the Riverwalk, climbing the stairs into Festival Plaza and running a short distance on Main Street before turning right across Longley Bridge. The race will continue up Main Street in Lewiston, turning right on Canal Street, right on Locust Street, right on Lincoln, and left on Cedar Street to cross back over the Lown bridge to Auburn, ending at the Rollodrome.

Motorists are urged to use caution when encountering runners along the streets.

Proceeds from the L-A Bridge Run will go toward the creation and development of a community outing club, a partnership between Healthy Androscoggin, the YMCA and the Fletcher Foundation, bringing people together to enjoy outdoor activities.
