AUBURN — The Central Maine Community College Corporate and Community Services Department will offer “Beyond PowerPoint” from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 21 to Oct. 5.  The cost of the class is $109 and is open to the public.

The introductory course will cover the steps needed to produce an effective presentation on tape, CD or DVD. Participants will learn the pros and cons of using the various types of multimedia and the equipment involved for Web and live broadcasts, videos, CDs and DVDs. Planning the production, using outside resources and distribution will also be covered in the class.

The class will be taught by Ted Miles. Miles has an extensive background in educational and informational media, documentary production and consulting. He currently teaches video production and Web site design.
