Rita O. Arsenault

RUMFORD — Rita O. Arsenault, 77, of Erchles Street, Rumford, died Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Rumford Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Mexico, March 27, 1932, the daughter of Henri and Rose Eva (Fournier) Bourgea, and had attended Mexico schools and the Convent in Salem, Mass.
She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church. She was a homemaker and dearly loved her family.
She was married in Mexico, Sept. 24, 1950, to Joseph E. Arsenault Jr., who died in Rumford on April 25, 2004.
Survivors include daughters, Eva “Peanut” Arsenault and companion, James Stevens, of Mexico and Lisa Arsenault of Rumford; son, Gary Arsenault and companion, Gerry Thibodeau, of Dixfield; a sister, Joanne Packard of Rumford; six grandchildren, Edward Arsenault and wife, Shannon, of Marshfield, Wis., James Arsenault and companion, Jenine Durfey, and her children, Heather, Alex and Ethan Durfey of Rumford, Sheena Arsenault and companion, Ken Snow, of Mexico, Niaomi Thibodeau and companion, Seth Stanfield, of Wasco, Ore., Mandy Thibodeau of Rumford and Carmen Thibodeau and companion, John Vargas, of Peru; nine great-grandchildren, Ashlie and Tyla Thibodeau of Dixfield, Autumn Thibodeau of Peru, Dillan and Emerson Stanfield of Wasco, Ore., Brittney, Amanda and Autumn Arsenault of Marshfield, Wis., and Abbigail “Princess” Thibodeau of Peru; her friend, Bob McPhee of Dixfield; and her cat, “Annie-Mae.”
