HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Jocelyn Mitchell and Kelly Newton scored two goals apiece to lead the University of Maine to a 4-0 field hockey victory over Bryant on Sunday.

The Black Bears (1-1) put the game away with three first-half goals. Maine outshot Bryant (0-1) 27-4 and had an 18-2 edge in penalty corners.

POCATELLO, Idaho — Goals by Kelsey Wilsona and Carolyne Nellis propelled Maine to a 2-0 triumph over Idaho State on Sunday.

Wilson scored the only goal in the first half when she converted a rebound, which deflected off the keeper into the net. Nellis headed the ball into the net at 54:20 off a throw-in from Hailey Blackburn.

Meaga Leibenzeder stopped four shot to record the shutout.
