NORWAY — Frantie Giasson has been employed as a CNA at Market Square Health Care Center for 29 years. In addition to her second-shift job of assisting residents, Giasson gives her time to volunteer playing piano for resident activities.

Sharon Young, Stephens Volunteer Services coordinator, said, “Frantie Giasson is a woman of many talents. In her volunteer role at Market Square Health Care Center, Frantie has been playing the piano for residents since 1994 (15 years). When Frantie walks into the room, faces light up with anticipation. After a few minutes, residents are toe-tapping and humming along to the music. After playing music in the activity room, Frantie ‘makes her rounds’ by visiting residents in their rooms. She enjoys nothing more than making others happy. Please accept our gratitude Frantie!”

Giasson has been recognized more than once for her caring attitude in regard to her work, receiving the iCare Employee of the Year Award at Market Square in 2007. The human resources department said, “Frantie was recognized for always having a smile on her face and doing whatever necessary to provide a high level of care to residents.”
