Jose Leiva/Sun Journal Lewiston firefighter Pvt. Tim Berry checks on the well being of Abdi Ibrihim, 9, of Lewiston, after the boy rode his bike into the side of a car driven by Joshua Pollack, 20, also of Lewiston, on Walnut Street in Lewiston about 4:30 p.m. Monday. According to a police report, the boy was riding his bike east on Shawmut Street when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Walnut Street and hit the right side of Pollack’s car. Ibrihim was checked out by emergency personnel, but no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at less that $1,000 and no citations were issued.
