BETHEL – On a beautiful day that saw much less wind than Monday’s first round, Mark Siewertsen and Jay Plourd combined for an even-par 72 to pair with their yesterday’s score of 67 to win the Two-Man Championship at Sunday River at 139. The two players from Riverside were the only team under 140.

The tournament’s first winners, Mark Plummer and Dave Brewster, tied for second with the team of Jeff Wass and Butch Allen at 140, four under par for the tournament. Tied for fifth were Steve Lycette and Nick Connor, along with the father-son combination of Mickey and Nate Davis at 141.

Monday’s first round leaders at 66 — John Downing and Tim Walsh, and brothers Michael and Patrick Doran — finished at 143 and 145 respectively.
