Returning letter winners: Boys: Senior — John Barbosa; Junior — Faisal Noor. Girls: Senior — Sara Olstein, Becca Barton; Juniors — Abby Hart, Carmen Lasagna, Stephanie Elwell, Caroline Dunn, Hannah Martin; Sophomore — Haley Barton.

Key losses: Boys: Tyler Gammon, Chris Caiani, Brandon Gruver, Josh Titus, Greg St. Denis. Girls: Hannah Hart.

Promising newcomers: Boys: Seniors — Sadam Abdi, Omar Abdi, Bashir Noor. Girls: Junior — Melissa Brown; Sophomore — Audrey Bennett.

Outlook: The boys will get a boost from three strong senior newcomers, including Sadam Abdi, a transfer student and one of Lewiston’s top runners in recent seasons. Campbell also is impressed with his freshman class. Hart is the top runner for a deep, experienced girls’ group. The development of a strong fifth runner for both teams will spell the team’s success at the KVAC and state levels.
