Daniel   H.   Jackson
1942 – 2009
 EAST DIXFIELD — Daniel H. Jackson, 66, of Farmington died Sept. 3 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
  He was born in Carthage on Nov. 6, 1942, a son of Erwin and Thursia (White) Jackson.  He was educated in Dixfield schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.  
He met his former wife, Elaine (McKiel) of Vancouver, British Columbia, while he worked as a handsewer at GH Bass and other area shoe shops. They resided in Wilton for much of their married life
He enjoyed reading the sports page and watching the Red Sox on TV and was an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan.  In his younger years, he enjoyed working on the pit crew of Elijah and Tiger White at Oxford Plains.
 He is survived by two sons, Charles D. Jackson and his longtime companion, Kelly Sabin, of Wilton and Sid Berry and his wife, Candy, of Carthage; a daughter, Deborah Jackson of Augusta: grandchildren Bradley Jackson and Parker and Hunter Berry; a sister, Priscilla Marquis and her husband, Bob, of Florida; a brother, Donald Jackson and his wife, Joan, of Jay; sister-in-law Phyllis Jackson of Weld; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  He was predeceased by a brother, Clifford; sister, Elizabeth Flagg; and many beloved friends and relatives.
