The Rev. Donald and Ethel Green
AUBURN — A 50th wedding anniversary open house was held to honor the Rev. Donald and Ethel Green on June 27 at their new home in Auburn. The couple was married on June 27, 1959, in East Vassalboro.
Many family members, friends and new neighbors attended the open house, which was hosted by their daughters, Marian Veld of Kalamazoo, Mich., Brenda Getchell of Minot and Darlene Conant of Auburn.
The couple ministered for the Church of the Nazarene until their retirement in 2000, including the Mechanic Falls Church of the Nazarene, and they are former Norway residents. The Rev. Green worked at Dunn’s Campground in Oxford for many years and Mrs. Green was employed at the Guy E. Rowe School in Norway and Poland Community School.
