Aaron S. White Sr.
1960 – 2009
AUBURN – Aaron Scott White Sr., 48, of Greene, died Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Androscoggin Hospice House surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 7, 1960, he was the first born son of his loving parents Walter T. and Patricia (Bell) White of Greene and formerly of Worcester, Mass.
Aaron graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester,
Mass., and studied electrical engineering at Central New England
College. He was the proud owner of Little Guy Press in Auburn and
received the “Key to the City of Auburn,” in 1991, an award he truly
treasured. Active in his community, Aaron sponsored Little League teams
and served on numerous boards including the School and Budget Committee
of Mechanic Falls, the Auburn Business Association and the Sabattus
Pond and Watershed Association.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Aaron loved to ride his Harley with
his wife and “Wild Dog” friends. He loved hunting with his best friend
“Dead Eye” Dad. He was an amazing chef and superior gardener, annually
harvesting his crops from his “Green Acres” farm. Aaron enjoyed
traveling and spending his summers entertaining family and friends at
his camp on Sabattus Lake. Aaron’s greatest accomplishment was being a
loving dad to his children, Danielle and A.J.
Aaron leaves behind his beloved wife, Christina (Reschke) and his
beautiful son, Aaron Jr., and was predeceased by his daughter, Danielle
Reschke-White, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves his dear brother, Glen, his wife, Denise, and his nephews; his godson, Benjamin, Jack and Kyle, all of Marstons Mills, Mass.; several loving aunts; uncles; and cousins. He also leaves his life-long friends, Craig, Patty, Mark, Karl and Andrew.
He was predeceased by his brother, Randy Carter White; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Beatrice Bell; his paternal grandparents, Barbara White and Thomas C. White.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Mark Callery of Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Dr. Nicolette Erickson of CMMC and Dr. Austin and all the staff at Androscoggin Hospice House, especially Geriann.
Aaron had a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. He will be missed by all who knew him.
