AARP luncheon
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet on Monday, Sept. 14, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street, South Paris.
A luncheon of honey glazed chicken, veggies and a special chocolate mousse for dessert will be served at noon. The cost is $6.50 and reservations are required by calling Ruth at 744-9069 by noon Friday, Sept. 11.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a talk by Connie Jones, community services director, SeniorsPlus. She will discuss the Aging Well, Living Well Expo and other programs offered by SeniorsPlus.
Retirees to meet
BOLSTERS MILLS — The Oxford County Education Association-Retired will meet on Friday, Sept. 18, at the Bolsters Mills Methodist Church. A social session at 10:30 a.m. will be held followed by a meeting at 11.
The afternoon program will be “A Matter of Balance” presented by Chris Hayden, Learning Resource Center, Western Maine Health.
New retirees, teachers and support personnel, are welcome. If not on a phone tree, call 743-7677 to reserve a lunch.
