John D. Caron
1938 – 2009
AUGUSTA — John David Caron, 71, of Main Street, Roxbury Pond, died Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.
He was born in Rumford, Aug. 17, 1938, a son of Omer and Mary (Miller) Caron. He was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961. He was employed for 25 years as a Comsat Technician for AT&T in Andover. He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He is survived by four daughters, Lisette Waugh and husband, Bruce, of Roxbury, Michelle Caron of Rumford, Annette Oswald and fiancé, Gary Nash, of Rumford and Renee Smith of California; a sister, Barbara Gagnon and husband, Willy, of Gardiner; a brother, Omer Caron and wife, Jean, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Russell Waugh, Derek Waugh, Tom Richard, Benjamin Smith, Emily Smith, Olivia Smith, Adelle Oswald and Austin Oswald; and a great-grandson, Brycen Waugh.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Joyce Palton; a brother, George Strout; and a grandson, Micky Richard.
