Joyce Maxim Murphy

LEWISTON — Joyce Maxim Murphy, daughter of Harry and Marguerite Maxim of Lewiston, died Sept. 4, with her loving daughter, Rose and Norm by her side.

She was a graduate of Gould Academy and also graduated top certified lab technician from Pratt Diagnostic Hospital in Boston, Mass. She chose a career in banking that lasted 30 years, working in local banks as a supervisor and was head bookkeeper for Mechanic Savings Bank before retiring. In her retirement, she was bookkeeper for Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends.

She loved movies, music and dancing and was the life of the party. She loved calling T.J. and Spottie every day. She enjoyed having lunch with Beverly and liked visiting with Doreen.

She leaves two sisters behind, Connie Blackwood and Lida Muench; a son, Michael; a daughter, Rose; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
