NORTH ANSON – Tyler Gates and Eric Bolduc each registered a hat trick as Dirigo hustled to a 10-0 rout over Carrabec in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup Thursday.
Cliff Turner, Cody St. Germain, TJ Frost an Hunter Ross also tallied for the Cougars (3-0) in a well-balanced attack. Caleb Turner needed only four saves to notch the shutout.
Lisbon 1, Wiscasset 0
WISCASSET – George Clement converted a pass from Tyler Dupal at thr 31:29 mark in the first half to give Lisbon a 1-0 victory over Wiscasset in MVC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Dupal skipped the ball into scoring position after a throw-in by Phil Carville. Clement sent it into the far corner from roughly four yards out. Ethan Audi put in a strong performance between the posts, finishing with 15 saves for the Greyhounds (3-0).
Telstar 2, Mountain Valley 1
RUMFORD – Dusty Bailey dribbled his way through defenders and found the net with 11 minutes left in regulation to lift Telstar to a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley.
Tyler Brown put the Rebels (1-2) on the board early with an unassisted goal in the first half. The Falcons (2-1) answered when Dylan Mawhinney converted a pass from Andrew Child. Daniel Vaughn made 10 saves for Telstar to notch the win.
Kyle Gauvin turned aside six shots fired in his direction between the posts for Mountain Valley.
Livermore Falls 5, Jay 0
LIVERMORE FALLS – Kyle Whittemore netted a pair of goals to lead Livermore Falls to a 5-0 rout over Jay in another MVC boy’s soccer matchup.
Trevor Timberlake scored on a penalty kick for the Andies (1-2), while James McLamb and tom Ventrella also tallied. Jake Freeman and the Willie Brown (recovering from a knee injury from Tuesday) combined for two saves to notch the shutout.
Isaac Couture was kept busy in net for the Tigers (0-2), turning back 22 shots fired in his direction.
St. Dom’s 4, Georges Valley 0
THOMASTON – Alex Parker scored a pair of goals Thursday afternoon to lead St. Dom’s to a 4-0 rout over Georges Valley in a WMC boy’s soccer tilt.
Will Desmaris and Josh Charest also tallied for the Saints (3-0), while Nick Brigham needed only four saves to notch the shutout.
Jackson Erikson also contributed with two assists, while the brothr act of Trevar and Troy Haefelewere also credited with assists.
