The town of Turner, known as one of the largest centers of apple raising in the State, will not put out nearly so large a crop of fruit this year as in former years. The reports received from the principal apple growers indicate that the crop this year has fallen off to quite an extent and that not over 4000 barrels will be shipped out of town. A. S. Ricker & Son of Ricker Hill, who are perhaps the largest apple growers, report that they will get not over 1000 barrels this fall.
