TURNER – Freshman striker Mariah Treadwell notched a hat trick to power Leavitt to a 5-2 victory over Lincoln Academy in KVAC girls’ soccer action Friday.

The Hornets (2-1) asserted themselves from the start, scoring four unanswered goals in the first half. Tori Zupancic and Abbey Randall contributed the second and third goals of the frame for Leavitt.

The Eagles (1-2) would not go down without a fight as Carly Erskine and Emily Wallace scored the last two goals of the game.

Goalie Emma Lazzari made 14 saves for Lincoln Academy, before Chris Tonry came in to finish the contest with three saves. Danielle DuBois earned the win in net for Leavitt with 11 saves.

Bangor 1, Mt. Blue 0

BANGOR – Mt. Blue was denied victory in a tight game against Bangor on Friday when Megan Doucette scored on a cross from Grace Maclean in a 1-0 contest.

The Cougars mounted an early defense, led by Chelsea Thompson, and managed to bring off three consecutive shots on goal early in the first half. The last shot made it into the net, but was invalidated due to a hand-ball penalty.

Doucette’s game-winner came in the 18th minute of the first half.

  Mt. Blue’s Hannah Allen nearly tied the game with a kick from 35 yards out, but Rams goalie Mia Smith dove to deflect it.

EL 1, Mt. Ararat 0

AUBURN – Mary Kate Masters scored the only goal of the game as Edward Little squeezed out a 1-0 victory over Mt. Ararat.

The Red Eddies (2-1) were locked in a fierce battle until Jaclyn Masters was able to come down the left flank, turn the corner and cross the ball to twin sister Mary Kate, who finished off the effort with the game-winning goal at the 24:27 mark of the second half.

Goalie Kirsten Prue made six saves for Edward Little, while goalie Shauna Williams came up with a goose egg for the Eagles (2-1) in the losing effort. 

Medomak 1, Oak Hill 0

WALES – Roxanne Jelenfy scored the unassisted and winning goal nine minutes into the second half, allowing undefeated Medomak Valley (2-0) to escape with a 1-0 victory over Oak Hill in a girls’ soccer game.

Oak Hill (0-2-1) tried to come back and outshot Medomak, 15-8, and held the advantage in corner kicks at 6-2.

Raiders goalie Maggie Savine made seven saves, but Oak Hill just couldn’t put one in the net.

Lisbon 6, Monmouth 0

LISBON – The Lisbon Greyhounds remained undefeated Friday as Ashley Beaulieu sacored four goals and assited on another in a 6-0 victory over Monmouth.

Lisbon quickly took the lead with a goal by Ashli Canabush 10 minutes into the game. Kayla Angelico contributed with 2 assists and a goal for Lisbon. 

Mustang goalie Kelsie Hilton had 19 saves for Monmouth. Lisnon goalie Kerstyn Ramich made two saves and was helped on defense by Gabbi Ouellette and Renee Moore. 

  St. Dom’s 4, Carrabec 1

AUBURN –  St. Dom’s took the lead in the 28th minute of the first half as Taylor Paquet fed a cross to Sophie Goule, and they stayed ahead for the rest of game. 

In the second half Ali Desjardin scored the next two goals for St. Dom’s on assists from Sophie Goulet and Stephanie Costello.Anna Bolduc rounded out the scoring on an assist from Megan Poulin.

Kara Hebert scored Carrabec’s only goal in the second half with 8:20 to go, but the Saints remained unthreatened. 

Carrabec’s goalie, Marisa Murray had 19 saves out of 23 shots on goal.

Brunswick 7, Lewiston 0

BRUNSWICK – The Brunswick Dragons showed their claws in Friday’s game against Lewiston with a dominating 7-0 victory Friday.

Christina Damon scored twice on assists from Rebecca Miller and Samantha Roy, while Hillary Champagne put in two unassisted goals. Allsion Walton, Eliza Halmo and Dakota Foster each contributed a goal to the Dragon’s victory.

Beth Lebel of Lewiston valiantly fought off 24 shots, while Lydia Caputi of Brunswick handily defended against Lewiston’s shots.

Winslow 7, Mt. View 0

THORNDIKE – Sophomore fowards Sarah Fowler came off the bench to net a pair of goals as Winslow remains undefeated with a 7-0 victory over Mt. View in KVAC girls’ soccer.

The Black Raiders (3-0) were absolutely dominant on offense, taking a 39-0 margin of shots on the Mt. View goalie. Rachel Andrews played tough though, making 30 saves in net for the Mustangs (0-2).

Field hockey

Livermore Falls 6, Dirigo 2

LIVERMORE FALLS – Hannah Therrien unloaded three goals, Samantha Greenwood added two and Megan Therrien dropped in one as Livermore Falls rolled over Dirigo, 6-2, in a field hockey game Friday.

Megan Therrien, Greenwood and Annika Durell each earned assists for the undefeated Andies (4-0). Hannah Therrien scored one of her three goals on a penalty stroke.

The Andies punched in four goals in the second half after taking a 2-1 lead in the first half. Dirigo’s Trina Pulk scored on a penalty stroke and Jordan Holme dropped in another Cougar goal on a feed from Sam Blanchette.

Telstar 10, St. Dom’s 0

BETHEL – Katie Sumner and T.J. Cowin punched in four goals each at Telstar overwhelmed St. Dom’s with a 10-0 victory in a field hockey game Friday.

The Rebels (3-0) dropped in five goals in each half. Amanda Wiley and Taylor Merrill scored the other goals for Telstar. Lindsay James and Kallie Brown each earned two assists, and Merrill, Cowin and Mariah Bundy were each credited one for the Rebels.

Old Orchard 9, Poland 0 

POLAND – Samantha Blake, Annabelle Frenette and Leah Kalher each scored two goals to lead Old Orchard Beach to a 9-0 field hickey victory over Poland. 

The Seagulls led 6-0 at halftime. Also scoring goals were Zoe Armstrong, Macy Anderson and Chelsea DeRepentigny.

Poland goalie Lindsey Kasik held off 17 of Old Orchard’s 26 shots on goal, while Old Orchard’s Colleen Dyer saved all 5 shots made by the Knights. Old Orchard dominated in penalty corners by 10-3.
