LEWISTON – Lewiston Recreation summer doubls tennis results:

Men’s ‘A’ division: Mike Burke and Andy Marsh were undefeated champs. Ron and Calvin Chicoine were finalists, with their lone loss to Burke and Marsh.

Men’s ‘B’: Mike Lacombe and Roger Grondin also went undefeated to capture the championship, with Ray Tardif and Claude Bergeron sustaining their only defeat against Lacombe and Grondin.

Women’s ‘A’: After the top two teams absorbed only one regular-season loss apiece, Katelyn Ouellette and Emilie Cloutier won the championship by defeating Elisa Whittier and Abby Blaisdell in a close, two-set match.

Women’s ‘B’: A playoff determined the championship after a three-way tie. Julie Dionne and Heidi Poussard defeated Stephanie Gagne and Monica Michaud, then downed Jen Hood and Cindy Smith to capture the championship.

Women’s ‘C’: Beth Emerson and Lisa Lally won the title, followed by Candy Gleason and Lorraine Bowen in the runner-up slot.

Mixed doubles championships are to awarded in September.
