Ross E. MacKay
1946 – 2009
SOUTH PARIS — Ross E. MacKay, 63, of Norway, died Thursday, Sept. 10, after a short courageous battle with cancer. He died surrounded by his loving friends.
He was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Newton, Mass., the son of Frank and Ruth Edgar MacKay. He was a member of the Oxford Fireman’s Relief Workers Association, the Happy Group, Helping Hands Community Café and the Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford. He was an active volunteer at Stephens Memorial Hospital, as well as the Helping Hands Café.
He enjoyed music, spending time at the ocean and traveling to new destinations. He faithfully cheered on his friends participating in the Wild Ones bowling team.
He is survived by his good friend, Melody Hoover and family; stepmother, Carol MacKay; and sisters, Sharon and Marsha. His smile and charm will be missed by his friends and those that knew him.
