Kenneth W. Pierce Sr.
1929 – 2009
SOUTH PARIS — Kenneth W. Pierce Sr., 79, of Elm Hill Road, South Paris, died Thursday, Sept. 10, after a short illness.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1929, in Gray, the son of Richard and Ruth Pierce. He was a 1948 graduate of Windham High School.
Kenneth retired in 1994 after many years of service at Andrews Fuel.
Ken enjoyed trap and skeet shooting and was a current member of the Norway Paris Fish & Game Club. He spent the past several years assisting with weekly shoots at the club’s range. He had also served as the club’s treasurer.
He is survived by his sons, Kenneth W. Pierce Jr. of Hawaii, Jeffrey M. Pierce of Windham, Dale R. Pierce, Mitchell R. Pierce and Thomas A. Pierce, all of Buxton; daughters, Nicolette I. Erskine of Windham, Robin R. Thompson of Hollis, and Jocelyn L. Thompson of Gray; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Theodore Pierce, of Gray; and a sister, Margaret Davidson of Windham.
Ken was predeceased by his wife, Jean Baker Pierce, in 2001; and his daughter, Andrea, in 2004.
