Beatrice D. Miles
1908 – 2009
LISBON — Beatrice Dorothy (Connolly) Miles died Sept. 12, at the Lamp Nursing Home.
She was born in Auburn, April 12, 1908, to James W. and Alice (McKinley) Connolly. Raised in Auburn, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School and then went to Bliss Business College.
She married Leonard G. Miles and had two daughters, Beatrice Grew and Patricia M. Dohonue. She worked all her life in the shoe industry and she was also a very good cook.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia M. Donohue; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Beatrice Grew; brothers, Douglas, Donald and Leon Connolly; and two sisters, Daphne Schuck and Mary Barnes.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lamp Nursing Home and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the care provided for Mrs. Miles.
