RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Merlene Gallant was celebrated Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. James Martel was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Ave Maria,” “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “Amazing Grace.” Her grandson Evan Walsh played “Tears In Heaven” by Eric Clapton on guitar before the service. Readings were done by son-in-law, Patrick Walsh and grandson, Evan Walsh. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
