Cruise in

NORWAY — L.F. Pike will host a “Cruise In” from 5 p.m. to dark
Friday, Sept. 18, in the parking lot next to Pike’s on Main Street.
Street rods, hot rods and classic cars of all shapes, sizes and
vintages are invited and will be on display. Those with antique
tractors are also invited, due to the cancelled Farm and Forest Day.
Bicycles, skateboards and pets on chain leashes are discouraged.

Music
will be provided and there will be door prizes, raffles and special
registration packets for the first 30 cars that sign in. There will be
similar packets for tractors. There is no charge for registration.

An OHTHS team will hold a grill and bake sale beginning at 5
p.m. to raise funds for their upcoming trips to the National
Competition.

Other civic organizations who wish to have displays or participate

SOUTH PARIS — Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Rd., invites all to attend worship service at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, the 16th Sunday after Pentecost. There will be Sunday School and “Making the Old Story Our Story” at 9 a.m. The Healthy Living Group meets every Wednesday at 12:30 pm. All are invited.

Church supper

BOLSTERS MILLS — A chicken pie supper will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at Bolsters Mills
United Methodist Church. The first seating
will at 5 p.m. and the second at 6, with a third to follow as needed. Cost is $7, adults; $3, children under 12. The building is handicapped accessible and air conditioned.

Supper will include chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy,
vegetable, rolls, homemade dessert and beverages. Reservations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday by confirmation at 583-9024. Do not leave a

Society to meet

WEST PARIS — The Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St.
Following a brief business meeting, Lorrain Piirainen will provide a program on the Indonesian culture, complete with food and
displays. A coffee social will follow. The public is welcome to attend.

Bridge play

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 11 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a 4 1/2 table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in flight A were Penny and Robert Thomas; second, Priscilla
Rooth and Carol Curran, who were also first in flight B; third, Cindy Kirchherr and Sue Farnum, who were also second in flight B.

Finishing third in flight B were Linda Smith and Jack Neal.

The next game will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18. A partner
is guaranteed and all bridge players are invited. Parking
