Eugene E. Tremblay
1930 – 2009
AUBURN — Eugene E. Tremblay, 79, of 40 Enfield St., Auburn died on Monday, Sept. 14, at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Feb. 4, 1930, the son of Albiny and Alice (Jolin) Tremblay and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He married the former Mary Sullivan on Nov. 29, 1947; she died on July 13, 1992.
He was employed for more than 40 years at HP Hoods until his retirement in 2004.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Church.
He is survived by his companion for many years, Joan Bertrand of Auburn; her granddaughter, Macayla Brochu; one son, Raymond Tremblay of Alexandria, Va.; one daughter, Joanne Gauthier and her husband, Gerald, of Poland; one brother, Robert Tremblay and his wife, Rita, of Lewiston; two sisters, Jeannine Gaudette and Cecile Gagne, both of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Cindy Chase and her husband, John, of Poland and John Cleary and his wife, Trish, of Oxford; six great-grandchildren, Erin Cleary, Ryan Green and his wife, April, Andrew Green and his companion, Christie, Jessica Green and her companion, Josh, Meggin Ball and her husband, Dan and Zac Chase; four great-great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Ryleigh and Emma Green and Jacob Klemanski; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, “Boo” which he loved very much.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Judith Cook on Oct. 2, 2007; and two brothers, Henry Tremblay and Roger Tremblay.
