DURHAM — The third annual Quilt/Hooked Rug Show and bake sale to
benefit the Restoration Fund of the Durham Historical Society will be
held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Union Church,
744 Royalsborough Rd., Route 136.
Swingin’ Bears
SOUTH PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will begin its 2009-10 season from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, with Ray Hilton, caller for the square
dancing and Carol Stewart, curer for the round dancing.
Refreshments
will be offered at intermission. Admission is $6 each person. Nondancers are invited to come to watch at no charge.

Student flu clinic
LISBON — An influenza immunization clinic for students enrolled in
all three of the Lisbon Schools will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday,
Sept. 19, in the Lisbon Community Gym. Only children who attend school will be vaccinated; any siblings who are not students will need to be vaccinated at
their provider’s office.
Those interested in having a child receive a vaccine at no cost, needs to complete a permission form, which should be returned to the school nurse
or brought to the clinic. Permission forms will be available at the clinic and are needed for each student. For more information, contact the school nurse. Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 14th were: first, Paul Sherman and Les Buzzell; second, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; third, Helen Little and Alberta Turner; fourth, Richard Balian and Dick Allen; fifth, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; first in B, Helen Little and Alberta Turner; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.
