Bernadette ‘Bunny’ Lamontagne
TEMPE, Ariz. — Bernadette (Morneau) (Bunny) Lamontagne, 92, died Aug. 23, in Tempe, Ariz.
She was born in Auburn, to Arthur Morneau and Philomene (Picard) Morneau. Her family moved to Lewiston when she was a young girl. She attended Lewiston schools and Thomas Business College.
On June 26, 1937, she married Emile Joseph Paradis, who preceded her in death in 1982. To this union one child was born, Doris (R. Paradis) Hallee; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and two great-granddaughters survive. On Oct. 8, 1994, she married Gerard LaMontagne in Lewiston. He died on May 30, 2000.
Bunny subsequently relocated to the Phoenix area to be near her daughter, where she resided at the Westchester Care Center in Tempe, Arizona.
She was employed in the dress department at Ward Bros. for many years, retiring in 1982.
One brother, Roland survives in Connecticut.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Leon and Louis; and two ststers, Germain and Rita.
Her final resting place will be St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Lewiston along side her first spouse, Emile Paradis.
