Vikingate

NORWAY — Oxford Federal Credit Union will host “Vikingate” from 5 to 6 p.m. at their new location, 54 Fair St. The event will be held on Fridays, Sept. 18 and Oct. 23, home game dates for the Oxford Hills football team. It will be aired live on 92.7 WOXO.

“Vikingate” will be free to attend and all are welcome. Food and drinks will be provided and prizes will be given out to those in attendance.

Girl scouts

HEBRON — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a Girl Scout sampler meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the Hebron Baptist Church. Girls who attend will learn the many ways girls and adult volunteers can participate in scouting. Girls will have an opportunity to sample scouting through various activities.

HS meeting

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society will meet on Monday, Sept. 21. There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7. Those attending should bring a dish or dessert and, if available, any show and tell or topics of early West Paris. There will be news from Augusta. Friends of West Paris are welcome. New hours

BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Hosiptal Guild Thrift Shop, located next to Reny’s on Main Street, is now stocked with fall and winter items and has announced new hours. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The shop will be closed Sunday and Monday.

The Bridgton Hospital Guild Thrift Shop is a not-for-profit fundraising project for the organization and all funds raised benefit Bridgton Hospital. Gently used clothing and housewares, for all family members, will be accepted during hours of operation.
