TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education has several classes this fall for the technology minded.
Basic Computer Skills starts Monday, Sept. 21. The class is for those who want to know what the wheel on a mouse is for or why there are two sets of numbers on the keyboard.
There are Microsoft Excel 2007 classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Beginners will learn the basics of Excel and learn how to add and subtract columns and rows, create a basic graph and re-size columns and rows. The intermediate class will teach members how to sort and alphabetize, delete columns and rows and freeze panes. The advanced class is a fast-paced class that will teach how to complete more complicated formulas, create and fancy up charts and spreadsheets. The beginner class starts Monday, Sept. 21; intermediate on Monday, Oct. 19; and advanced on Monday, Nov. 9.
Learn the basics of Microsoft Word 2007 in a class starting Monday, Oct. 19. Get familiar with features such as headings, references, page layout and more. The class is for those who have an older version of Word or are thinking about upgrading, already have or those want to learn about Word 2007.
Keyboarding For Beginners will start on Monday, Nov. 9, and will teach the basics of typing and how to control the mouse.
Aspiring Writers will begin Monday, Sept. 21. For those who have always wanted to write a book, the workshop will help find form, focus ideas and start the task of writing the words of the next great story.
Cover Letter Writing is a one afternoon class held on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Learn creative ways to put together a new cover letter. Participants should bring a sample resume and cover letter.
