(theater) The Full Monty by Terrence McNally. Six unemployed steel workers decide to “LET IT GO” and put together a “Chippendales” act to earn some extra dough. (exhibit opening) Cancer Surviv-Art Opening Reception The public is invited to the artist reception for Cancer Surviv-Art, a multi-venue exhibit of artwork created by Cancer suvivors and pulled together through a partnership between L/A Arts and The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing. (concert) Carolyn Currie. This local singer-songwriter’s voice is amazing. “Be prepared to experience insight, reflection, humor and beauty. “Currie’s distinctive voice weaves through your thoughts, binding itself permanently to the fabric of your brain. Her music . . . is utterly spellbinding. Just try concentrating on something else, I dare you.” – femme musique. She will be singing a collection of songs, including some from her newest CD “Waves of Silence.” The DownStage at L/A Arts – 7:30 PM; $$.
