MEXICO — The Mexico First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Rd., will have their annual Missions Conference from Thursday to Sunday, Sept. 24 to 27. The Rev. Jerry Vander Veen from Sillikers, New Brunswick, Canada, will be the keynote speaker presenting the theme “God In You and Through You.”

Evening services during the conference will be at 6 p.m. There will be Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday worship service at 10:45 a.m. A potluck dinner will follow the Sunday morning service.

Pastor Larry Shaw from Rumford, Pastor Ken Hinkley from Dixfield, Matt Peters from Mexico, Virginia Mattheau from Child Evangelism Fellowship and the Rev. Tim Valentine from Crossworld Ministries will be some of the guests at the conference. They will share their personal testimonies of how God led them into local ministries. Inspirational music will be provided by Chris and Ronda Shaw, who have sung in churches throughout the River Valley area.

The Rev. Jerry Vander Veen and his wife Rolla have extensive experience in missions as well as in church ministry. Their exciting message is one that challenges revival in the local church and involvement in the worldwide missions. Vander Veen presently serves as the North American Director of the Gospel Mission of South America. He also is affiliated with Dr. Henry Blackaby, popular author and conference speaker in the U.S.
